Julie Klassen

Julie Klassen is an American author known for her Regency romance novels. She is a celebrated writer, having won several prestigious awards including the Christy Award for Historical Romance, the Midwest Book Award, and the Minnesota Book Award. Some of her award-winning books include The Silent Governess, The Girl in the Gatehouse, and The Maid of Fairbourne Hall. The Secret of Pembrooke Park also won the Minnesota Book Award. Beyond her literary achievements, Julie has been a finalist in the Romance Writers of America’s RITA Awards and the ACFW’s Carol Awards.

Julie Klassen graduated from the University of Illinois and spent sixteen years in publishing before becoming a full-time writer. Her love for classic literature, especially works by Jane Eyre and Jane Austen, is reflected in her writing. She enjoys travel, research, BBC period dramas, long hikes, short naps, and coffee with friends. Julie lives with her husband and two sons in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota.
