Julie Klassen

Julie Klassen is an American author known for her Regency romance novels. She has received multiple accolades for her work, including several Christy Awards and a Midwest Book Award. Klassen is a graduate of the University of Illinois and spent sixteen years working in publishing before dedicating herself to writing full time.

Her acclaimed works include The Silent Governess, The Girl in the Gatehouse, and The Maid of Fairbourne Hall, each of which has won the Christy Award for Historical Romance. The Secret of Pembrooke Park earned the Minnesota Book Award, while The Silent Governess was also a finalist for the Romance Writers of America’s RITA Awards.

Outside of writing, Julie enjoys travel, research, BBC period dramas, long hikes, short naps, and coffee with friends. She lives with her husband and two sons in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota.
