Julia Quinn, born as Julie Cotler on January 12, 1970, is a renowned American author widely celebrated for her bestselling romance novels. Notably, her works have been translated into 41 languages and have appeared on The New York Times Bestseller List 19 times. She is a proud inductee of the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame.

Her widely acclaimed Bridgerton book series has been adapted into a popular Netflix television series by Shonda Rhimes. Quinn has also served as an executive producer and made a cameo appearance in the related Netflix series Queen Charlotte, A Bridgerton Story.

In addition to her successful writing career, Julia Quinn is known for challenging the stereotype that intelligent women do not read or write romance. Her academic background includes a degree from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges.
