#1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn loves to dispel the myth that smart women don't read (or write) romance. She even won the $79,000 jackpot on the game show The Weakest Link. Though she displayed a decided lack of knowledge about baseball, country music, and plush toys, she excelled in all things British and literary, answering all her history and geography questions correctly.
During her senior year at Harvard College, Julia Quinn (often known in cyberspace as JQ) realized that she didn't know what she wanted to do with her life. She considered various career paths, including law and business, but eventually decided to attend medical school. However, she deferred her medical studies to pursue writing and has never looked back.
Beyond writing, Julia Quinn is passionate about advocating for causes she strongly believes in. Her work has made her one of only sixteen members of the Romance Writers of Americaโs Hall of Fame. She continues to inspire readers and aspiring writers around the world.
