John Joseph Adams is a prominent figure in the science fiction and fantasy publishing world. Recognized as the series editor of Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy, Adams has earned a reputation as a New York Times bestselling editor through his work on over forty anthologies, including titles like Wastelands, The Living Dead, and A People's Future of the United States.

Adams has also distinguished himself as the editor and publisher of the Hugo Award-winning magazine Lightspeed, and he previously held the role of editor for the John Joseph Adams Books novel imprint with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
