John Gwynne is the author of epic fantasy series such as The Faithful and the Fallen, Of Blood and Bone, and The Bloodsworn Saga. Besides writing, he enjoys Viking reenactment and often participates in such events with his three sons.

He resides on the south coast of the UK with his wife, three sons, daughter, and an array of animals including three dogs, a horse, and a lamb with an identity crisis, thinking it's a dog. His dogs humorously believe he is their servant.

His debut novel, Malice, was published by Pan Macmillan in 2012. It received the David Gemmell Morningstar Award for Best Fantasy Debut of 2012, marking a significant milestone in his career.
