Joe Hill

Joe Hill, born in June 1972, is the pen name of American author Joseph Hillstrom King, who is notably the son of acclaimed author Stephen King. Hill emerged as a prominent voice in the world of literary horror and fantasy with his debut novel, Heart-Shaped Box, which won the Bram Stoker Award for Best First Novel. His second novel, Horns, was adapted into a film starring Daniel Radcliffe.


Joe Hill has also penned other successful books, including NOS4A2 and his #1 New York Times Best-Seller, The Fireman, which also received the 2016 Goodreads Choice Award for Best Horror Novel. In addition to novels, Hill writes short stories, with many of them compiled in the prize-winning collection, 20th Century Ghosts. He is also a celebrated comic book writer, having won the Eisner Award for Best Writer for his series Locke & Key, co-created with illustrator Gabriel Rodriguez.


Joe Hill resides in New Hampshire with his pet corgi, humorously named McMurtry after a beloved writer of cowboy tales. His creativity continues to captivate readers with works like his forthcoming book, Strange Weather.
