Jillian Tamaki is a renowned illustrator and comic artist celebrated for her work published in The New York Times and The New Yorker. In the realm of graphic novels, she has gained acclaim for Boundless, as well as for Skim and This One Summer, both co-created with her cousin Mariko Tamaki. The latter earned them a Caldecott Honor in 2015.
As a seasoned professional since 2003, Tamaki has showcased her artistic talent in various publications worldwide. Her dedication to the craft extends to her role as an educator, where she has taught both undergraduate and graduate students extensively, particularly in New York.
