Jessica Moore is an accomplished author and literary translator. Her debut book, Everything, now (Brick Books 2012), is a profound love letter to the dead and engages in a conversation with her translation of Turkana Boy (Talonbooks 2012) by Jean-François Beauchemin, for which she was awarded a PEN America Translation award.
Her translation of the novel Mend the Living by Maylis de Kerangal was nominated for the 2016 International Man Booker prize. Jessica’s latest work, The Whole Singing Ocean (Nightwood 2020), is an innovative blend of long poem, investigation, sailor slang, and ecological grief, and it was longlisted for the League of Canadian Poets’ Raymond Souster Award.
