Jennifer Mathieu is an American author renowned for her work in young adult fiction. Her critically acclaimed 2017 novel, Moxie, was adapted into a film of the same name, directed by Amy Poehler and available on Netflix.

Mathieu grew up on the East Coast of the United States and currently resides in Texas with her family. Before becoming an author, she worked as a journalist and is now a dedicated high school English teacher.

She is the author of seven young adult novels. Her upcoming work, The Faculty Lounge, marks her first foray into adult fiction and is set to be published by Dutton/Penguin Random House in July 2024. Her books have been translated into over twenty languages.

Jennifer is a graduate of Northwestern University and has been teaching for nearly two decades. She lives in Houston with her husband, son, dog, and cat.
