Jennifer Hillier is a Canadian author of Filipino descent, recognized for her suspenseful, psychological thrillers. Her 2018 novel, Jar of Hearts, won the 2019 International Thriller Writers (ITW) Awards for Hardcover Novel. In 2023, she secured the ITW Award for Best Audiobook for her 2022 novel Things We Do in the Dark.
Born and raised in Toronto, Hillier spent eight years living in Seattle before returning to Toronto, where she currently resides with her spouse and child. Known for her ability to imagine the darkest aspects of human nature, she is the USA Today, Toronto Star, and The Globe and Mail bestselling author of Things We Do in the Dark, praised as “an intoxicating thrill ride” by the New York Times and “propulsive and chilling” by People magazine.
