Jennifer A. Nielsen

Jennifer Anne Nielsen is an American author known primarily for her works in young adult fiction. Born on July 10, 1971, she has captivated readers with her engaging storytelling, particularly notable in her acclaimed Ascendance Series. She is also known for her contributions to the Infinity Ring series with "Behind Enemy Lines," as well as her other works such as The Mark of the Thief, A Night Divided, and the Underworld Chronicles.


Jennifer resides at the base of a very tall mountain in Northern Utah with her husband, three children, and a naughty puppy. She cherishes the aroma of rainy days, hot chocolate, and old books, preferably all at once. Her past roles include being a speech teacher, theater director, and experiencing a brief yet disastrous career as a door-to-door pollster. In her spare time, Jennifer often finds herself panicking, wondering what she has forgotten to do that has granted her any spare time.
