Jenna Black

Jenna Black is an American novelist known for her works in the genres of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and young adult fantasy. She has been writing under the pen name Jenna Black since 2006. Prior to that, she published one novel under the name Jennifer Barlow and at least two short stories under her birth name. She has also adopted the pen name Jenna Glass for some of her works.

Born in Ohio, U.S., Black earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Anthropology and French from Duke University. Initially, she aspired to be the next Jane Goodall, but after conducting field research during her senior year, she realized her true passion lay elsewhere. This led her to explore various other fields, such as dog grooming and writing technical documentation, before fully dedicating herself to writing fiction.

Throughout her career, Black has published numerous novels, primarily focusing on paranormal romance and urban fantasy. Her works are published by Tor and Bantam Dell, contributing significantly to her recognition in the literary world.
