Jeffery Deaver

Jeffery Deaver, born on May 6, 1950, is a celebrated American mystery and crime writer, whose literary contributions have positioned him prominently on global bestseller lists. With an academic foundation in journalism from the University of Missouri and a J.D. degree from Fordham University, Deaver initially embarked on a career in journalism, followed by a stint in law, before turning his talents to novel writing.

Deaver's oeuvre is not only renowned for its gripping narratives but also for its critical acclaim, as evidenced by his receipt of prestigious awards such as the Steel Dagger and Short Story Dagger from the British Crime Writers' Association, the Nero Wolfe Award, and the Ellery Queen Reader's Award for Best Short Story of the Year, amongst others. His books, having reached the zenith of popularity, are sold in over 150 countries and translated into twenty-five languages.

His first novel featuring Lincoln Rhyme, The Bone Collector, was adapted into a major motion picture starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie.
