Jean-Christophe Grangé is a renowned French mystery writer, journalist, and screenwriter. Born on 15 July 1961 in Paris, Grangé established his reputation in the field of thriller novels, becoming one of the few French writers to gain recognition in the United States.
Initially, Grangé pursued a Master's degree in Literature at the prestigious Université de la Sorbonne, focusing on the works of Gustave Flaubert. He then ventured into the world of advertising as a copywriter before eventually transitioning to journalism.
By 1989, at the age of 28, Grangé had become a prominent international reporter, contributing to esteemed publications such as Paris Match, the Sunday Times, and National Geographic. Later, he embarked on a freelance journalism career by founding the press agency L & G, managing to finance his own travel projects.
