Janette Rallison

Janette Rallison is an American author renowned for her light romance novels aimed at young adult readers. Born on April 1, 1966, she has also ventured into young adult science fiction and fantasy under the pseudonym C. J. Hill, and adult romantic novels as Sierra St. James.

Rallison is celebrated for her ability to weave humor and romance into her stories, providing a refreshing escape from reality. Among her accolades is the "Society of School Librarians International Best Book Award Honor Book" for her work Playing the Field. Her novels All's Fair In Love, War, and High School and Love, Life, and the Pursuit of Free Throws have been recognized by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA).

Residing in Arizona, Rallison balances her time between writing, family, and the delightful chaos brought on by her five children and an assortment of pets. Her life experiences often seep into her narratives, with her children occasionally making cameos in her books. Despite the demands of her career, she humorously claims to stay active by searching for misplaced items around her home.

Janette's journey as a writer started early at the age of six, and her passion for storytelling has only grown. She encourages aspiring writers to read extensively, write relentlessly, and seek honest feedback from peers rather than relying solely on family opinions.
