Janet Lee Carey

Janet Lee Carey is an American writer born on January 11, 1954. She is renowned for her fantasy fiction targeted at children and young adults. Her acclaimed Wilde Island trilogy, comprising Dragon’s Keep, Dragonswood, and In the Time of Dragon Moon, has earned multiple starred reviews and was recognized as ALA Best Books for Young Adults.

Other notable works by Carey include the Noor duology—The Beast of Noor and The Dragons of Noor—as well as standalone books like Stealing Death and Wenny Has Wings, the latter of which won the Mark Twain Award and was adapted into a Sony Feature Film in Japan in 2008.
