Jaida Jones

Jaida Jones is an American author best known for the 2008 fantasy novel Havemercy, co-written with Danielle Bennett. A graduate of Barnard College, Jaida wrote their thesis on monsters in Japanese literature and film. A native New Yorker and poet, their first collection of poetry, Cinquefoil, was published by New Babel Books in 2006.

In addition to novels, they co-wrote the Shoebox Project, a popular Harry Potter fan website with over five thousand subscribers. Currently, Jaida lives in Brooklyn with their wife and co-author, Danielle Bennett. Together, they have published four novels in the Volstovic Cycle. Beyond writing, Jaida is known for their outspoken views on intersectional feminism and the NYC subway system.
