Irma S. Rombauer, born Irma von Starkloff, was an American cookbook author best known for her book The Joy of Cooking, first published in 1931. This cookbook became one of the world's most widely read culinary books, with more than 18 million copies sold. After her passing, the book continued to be revised by her daughter, Marion Rombauer Becker, and later by her grandson, Ethan Becker. The book remains in print, maintained by the Rombauer–Becker family.
