Irene Gut Opdyke

Irene Gut Opdyke was a Polish nurse known for her heroic acts during World War II. Born on May 5, 1918, she gained international acclaim for her courageous efforts to aid Polish Jews who were persecuted by Nazi Germany. Her selflessness and bravery led to her recognition as a Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem, in honor of her risking her life to save 12 Jews.
