Ika Natassa

Ika Natassa is an acclaimed Indonesian author and a talented banker at Indonesia's largest bank. She is the visionary founder of LitBox, Indonesia's pioneering literary startup blending mystery boxes with online promotions for writers.

Writing has been Ika's passion since childhood, culminating in her first English novel at 19. She is renowned for her captivating novels about young Indonesian bankers. Her debut novel, A Very Yuppy Wedding, was released in 2007, followed by ten more: Divortiare (2008), Underground (2010), Antologi Rasa (2011), Twivortiare (2012), Twivortiare 2 (2014), Critical Eleven (2015), The Architecture of Love (2016), Susah Sinyal (2017), Sementara Selamanya (2020), and Heartbreak Motel (2022). In 2008, A Very Yuppy Wedding became Cosmopolitan Indonesia's Editor's Choice, and Ika was nominated for the prestigious Khatulistiwa Literary Award's Talented Young Writer category.

Ika's innovation in writing is evident; she wrote Twivortiare and Twivortiare 2 entirely on Twitter. Her novel The Architecture of Love was the first book globally written using Twitter's poll feature, launched in collaboration with Twitter Indonesia.

In 2008, Ika was recognized as a finalist for Cosmopolitan Indonesia's Fun Fearless Female, and she received The Best Change Agent accolade for her pivotal role in corporate culture at her bank. Her dual success in banking and writing earned her the Women Icon award by The Marketeers in 2010.

Driven by her love for books, Ika initiated the LitBox concept in 2013, offering book recommendations and helping writers and publishers in Indonesia. She launched the Reading is Sexy campaign in July 2014 to celebrate reading, supported by notable regional figures.
