Hyeonseo Lee

Hyeonseo Lee (born Kim Ji-hae, January 1980) is a renowned North Korean defector and activist, best known for her book, The Girl with Seven Names. She currently resides in Seoul, South Korea, where she is a student. Hyeonseo Lee bravely escaped from North Korea and later guided her family out through China and Laos.

Her story has brought significant attention to the human consequences of global inaction on North Korea.
