Henry H. Neff is a renowned author and illustrator, celebrated for his mastery in crafting fantasy fiction. He is best known for The Tapestry series, a captivating saga following the adventures of Max McDaniels. This series, consisting of five novels, skillfully merges various genres, including fantasy, history, mythology, folklore, and science fiction. The final installment was initially released as an e-book on November 25, 2014, and later became available in print in December 2021 after the publisher reverted the print rights back to Neff.
In addition to his acclaimed series, Neff's novel Impyrium was honored by being included in the 2018 Texas Library Association Lone Star reading list. His debut work, The Hound of Rowan, garnered a nomination for the 2009-10 Texas Bluebonnet Award.
On August 18, 2014, HarperCollins Children's Books announced the acquisition of his project, Impyrium. Neff recently completed a new novel, The Witchstone, designed for older teens and adults, which is set for release on June 18, 2024. He is currently working on a new book aimed at middle-grade readers.
Before embarking on his literary journey, Neff worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company and served as a teacher at Stuart Hall High School in San Francisco. A product of New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois, and Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, he now resides in Montclair, NJ, with his wife, two sons, and two rescue dogs.
