Helen Macdonald

Helen Macdonald is a British writer, poet, and naturalist. She is best known for her bestselling books H Is for Hawk and Vesper Flights, along with Shaler’s Fish, a history of falconry, and two other books of poetry. Her work has garnered critical acclaim, winning the 2014 Costa Book Awards and the Samuel Johnson Prize.

In addition to her literary achievements, Macdonald has written and presented award-winning TV documentaries for PBS and the BBC, showcasing her diverse talents and interests. Prophet is her first novel.
