Grady Hendrix

Grady Hendrix is an American author, journalist, public speaker, and screenwriter known for his best-selling 2014 novel Horrorstör. He lives in Manhattan and was one of the founders of the New York Asian Film Festival.

Hendrix is the author of several novels, including My Best Friend's Exorcism, We Sold Our Souls, The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires, and The Final Girl Support Group. His book Paperbacks from Hell, a history of the 70's and 80's horror paperback boom, won a Stoker Award.

Additionally, he has worked as a journalist for Playboy Magazine, Slate, The Village Voice, the New York Post, Film Comment, and Variety. Hendrix is also one of the co-authors of the YA series, The Magnolia League, and Dirt Candy: A Cookbook, the first graphic novel cookbook in America, with his wife and Ryan Dunlavey.

His fiction has appeared in Strange Horizons, Pseudopod, and the anthology, The Mad Scientist's Guide to World Domination. Hendrix's work is characterized by a blend of horror and humor, often exploring themes of friendship and nostalgia.
