Grace Livingston Hill

Grace Livingston Hill was an early 20th-century novelist born to a Presbyterian minister, Charles Montgomery Livingston, and his wife Marcia Macdonald Livingston. Both were writers as was Hill's aunt, Isabella Macdonald Alden. Hill wrote over 100 novels and numerous short stories under her own name and the pseudonym Marcia Macdonald. Her characters often featured young female ingénues who were strong Christian women or became so during the story.
