Gerald Morris

Gerald Morris, born on October 29, 1963, is an American author renowned for his retellings of Arthurian legends aimed at preteen and teen readers. His acclaimed series, The Squire's Tales, primarily focuses on Terence, a squire, and his knight, Sir Gawain. The series skillfully blends traditional Arthurian myths with original storylines, beginning with The Squire's Tale in 1998.

Morris also created The Knights' Tales series for younger readers, starting with The Adventures of Sir Lancelot the Great in 2008. This series continued with The Adventures of Sir Givret the Short the same year, and other titles followed.

He was born in Riverside, California, and is the son of Russell A. Morris. Educated at Oklahoma Baptist University and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Morris is married to Rebecca Hughes and has three children.
