Gail Carriger

Gail Carriger is an American archaeologist and author, renowned for her steampunk fiction. Born in the charming town of Bolinas in Marin County, California, she pursued her high school education at Marin Academy. Her academic journey took her to Oberlin College for her undergraduate studies, followed by a master's degree in archaeological materials from the University of Nottingham in 2000. Later, she advanced her expertise with a master of arts in anthropology, focusing on archaeology, from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2008.
