Frederick Joseph

Frederick Joseph is a Westchester-raised two-time New York Times bestselling author, acclaimed as a "genius across genres." His diverse works include a poetry collection, We Alive, Beloved, and two nonfiction books, Patriarchy Blues and The Black Friend. He also collaborated on Better Than We Found It, and authored a children’s book, The Courage to Dream, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Joseph’s books have been recognized as an Amazon Editors’ Pick, noted by the International Literacy Association, and awarded Best Children’s Book of the Year by Bank Street College. His works have also been chosen by the Cooperative Children’s Book Center and named Booklist Editors’ Choice, among other honors.

In addition to his books, Frederick Joseph has contributed writings to The Boston Globe, Essence, Huffington Post, AdWeek, and Cosmopolitan. He is a recipient of the Letter Review Poetry Prize.
