Francisco Xavier Stork, born as Francisco Xavier Arguelles in 1953, is a Mexican-American writer. He is best known for his award-winning 2009 book, Marcelo in the Real World.
Stork was born in Mexico and moved to El Paso, Texas with his adoptive father and mother when he was nine years old. He attended Spring Hill College, Harvard University, and Columbia Law School. Stork worked as an attorney for thirty-three years before retiring in 2015. He is married, with two grown children and four grandchildren.
Francisco X. Stork loves discovering new books and authors. His favorite books are those where the author's soul touches his. He does not read reviews of his books, so readers should feel free to write honestly. He's genuinely interested in learning about books and life from his friends and would love for his books to be worthy of reading, but that's not why he seeks friendships.
