Flavia Bujor is a French novelist of Romanian origin. She lived in Romania until the age of two, when she moved to Paris, France. Her first book was the children's story The Prophecy of the Stones or The Prophecy of The Gems (original title: La Prophétie des Pierres), which she wrote at the age of 13. It has been translated into twenty-three different languages.
Bujor's parents taught her to read before she started school and shared with her the stories of Shakespeare's plays and Romanian fairy tales. She is currently working on her second novel in France, where she lives with her parents. Her father is a sculptor, and her mother is a psychoanalyst who works with young adults and teenagers.
