Fiona Melanie Wood, born on February 2, 1958, is a distinguished Australian plastic surgeon and burns specialist based in Perth, Western Australia. She holds the position of director at the Royal Perth Hospital burns unit and the Western Australia Burns Service. Wood is a pioneer in her field, having developed spray-on skin technology in collaboration with Marie Stoner.
Wood's influence extends into academia as a clinical professor with the School of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Western Australia. She also dedicates her efforts to the Fiona Wood Foundation, where she serves as director. This foundation was formerly known as the McComb Research Foundation.
