Faith Erin Hicks is a celebrated Canadian cartoonist and animator residing in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her journey into the world of comics began as a teenager with her first webcomic, Demonology 101, which she completed by 2004. A graduate of Sheridan College’s classical animation program, Faith initially worked in the Canadian animation industry before fully transitioning to a career in comics.
Her rich portfolio includes both solo creations and collaborative works. The Adventures of Superhero Girl, Friends with Boys, and the Nameless City trilogy are among her notable works. She has also collaborated with other renowned authors, such as Rainbow Rowell on the New York Times bestseller Pumpkinheads and Neil Druckmann on The Last of Us: American Dreams.
Faith's contributions to the world of graphic novels have earned her two prestigious Eisner Awards. Her work is characterized by its engaging storytelling and unique artistic flair. Ride On, inspired by her childhood love of horses, is her latest graphic novel, released by First Second Books in 2022.
