Erin Hunter

Erin Hunter is a collective pseudonym used by a group of authors who specialize in children's fantasy novels, focusing on animal adventures. This group includes Victoria Holmes, Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Clarissa Hutton, Inbali Iserles, Tui T. Sutherland, and Rosie Best. They are well-known for popular book series such as Warriors, Seekers, Survivors, Bravelands, and Bamboo Kingdom. For each book, Holmes develops the plot, while the other authors take turns writing the books. Although not an official Erin Hunter author, Dan Jolley contributes to the manga stories published under the Hunter name. Illustrators like James L. Barry, Bettina M. Kurkoski, Don Hudson, Natalie Riess, and Sara Goetter also collaborate under the pseudonym for manga and graphic novel adaptations.

The collective was inspired by a love of cats and a fascination with the ferocity of the natural world. Their work often reflects a respect for nature and incorporates rich mythical explanations for animal behavior, shaped by an interest in astronomy and ancient standing stones.
