Erez Aharoni grew up in Ramat Gan, Israel. As a child, he was active in the boy scouts and participated in sports.
He was drafted into the Israel Air Force and completed his fighter pilot training in 1978. He served as a pilot in the Hercules squadron, participating in various flights and missions, including the immigration of Ethiopian Jews.
After his military service, he pursued a degree in Law at Tel Aviv University. Erez Aharoni is a prominent commercial lawyer and is one of the founders and managing partners of the international law firm of Zysman, Aharoni, Gayer & Co. He is also a partner and owner of the U.S. law firm ZAG/S&W and the Chinese law firm ZAG/JunZeJun.
