Emma Constance Healey is a British novelist. She grew up in London and initially pursued studies in bookbinding. Her career includes work at two libraries, two bookshops, two art galleries, and two universities. Emma completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia.

Her debut novel, Elizabeth Is Missing (2014), received critical acclaim, becoming a Sunday Times bestseller and winning the Costa Book Award for First Novel. Her second novel, Whistle in the Dark, was published in May 2018.

Emma currently resides in Norwich with her husband, daughter, and cat.
