Emily Maguire

Emily Maguire is an acclaimed Australian writer known for her contribution to contemporary literature. She is the author of seven novels and three non-fiction books. Her renowned novel, An Isolated Incident, was shortlisted for prestigious awards such as the Stella Prize and the Miles Franklin Literary Award. In 2022, her book Love Objects was shortlisted for the ABIA Literary Fiction Book of the Year.


Emily has held significant positions such as the Writer-in-Residence at the Charles Perkins Centre at the University of Sydney in 2018/2019 and the HC Coombs Creative Arts Fellow at the Australian National University in 2023. She holds a Master's degree in literature and actively mentors young and emerging writers. Her latest novel is titled Rapture.
