Elise Broach is an American writer, known for her acclaimed novels including Shakespeare's Secret, Desert Crossing, and Masterpiece. She holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in history from Yale University.
Broach is a New York Times bestselling author of children's books. Her works have been recognized as ALA notable books, Junior Library Guild selections, a Publishers Weekly Best Children's Book, a New York Public Library Best Book for the Teenage, and an IRA Teacher's Choice. They have also received an E.B. White Read Aloud Award and were nominated for an Edgar Award.
Born in Georgia, Elise currently resides in the woods of rural Connecticut, within walking distance from three farms and a library.
