Don Piper is an American author best known for his book, 90 Minutes in Heaven, co-written with Cecil Murphey. The book, published in 2004, documents his near-death experience following a car accident on January 18, 1989. Piper was declared dead at the scene, but ninety minutes later, after a preacher prayed over him, he miraculously came back to life.

90 Minutes in Heaven remained on the New York Times Bestseller List for more than five years and has sold over six million copies. The book tells the story of his visit to heaven and has been a source of inspiration for many, offering hope that people can overcome difficult circumstances through faith and the love of God. It was also adapted into a feature-length film, released in theaters on September 11, 2015.
