Diana Rowland

Diana Rowland is an urban fantasy writer best known for her Kara Gillian Series and White Trash Zombie Series. Before becoming a novelist, she held diverse roles including bartender, blackjack dealer, pit boss, street cop, detective, computer forensics specialist, crime scene investigator, and morgue assistant. This extensive background gives her a unique perspective in her writing.

She resides in south Louisiana with her husband and daughter. A graduate of the 1998 Clarion West Writers Workshop, Diana won first place in the third quarter of the Writers of the Future contest in 2005 with her short story "Schroedinger's Hummingbird".

In 2011, she was nominated for an RT Reviewer's Choice award for Best Urban Fantasy Protagonist for her character Angel Crawford from My Life as a White Trash Zombie. She received a similar nomination in 2012 for Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues, and won. In 2013, she was nominated for Best Urban Fantasy Worldbuilding for Touch of the Demon. Additionally, the audiobook of My Life as a White Trash Zombie, narrated by Allison McLemore, was nominated for an Audie award in 2012.
