Dexter Palmer is an American novelist and short-story writer. Palmer resides in Princeton, New Jersey. He launched his literary career with his first novel, The Dream of Perpetual Motion, published by St. Martin's Press in 2010. This debut was heralded as one of the year's best by Kirkus Reviews. He continued to capture readers' imaginations with his second novel, Version Control, released by Pantheon Books in February 2016.
Beyond his novels, Palmer is also a scholar with a Ph.D. in English Literature from Princeton University. His dissertation delved into the works of literary giants such as James Joyce, William Gaddis, and Thomas Pynchon.
