Devon Monk is a national best-selling writer known for her work in the urban fantasy genre. Born on January 9, 1970, she has penned popular series such as Ordinary Magic, House Immortal, Allie Beckstrom, Broken Magic, and Shame and Terric. Additionally, Monk is the author of the Age of Steam steampunk series and has contributed to numerous anthologies.

Aside from her novels, she has published over 50 short stories across various genres including fantasy, science fiction, horror, humor, and young adult. Her collection, A Cup of Normal, showcases some of her shorter works.

Devon Monk currently resides in Oregon with her husband, two sons, and a dog named Mojo. When she is not writing, she enjoys drinking coffee and knitting.
