Deepak Chaswal is a poet, Professor of English, and a critic. His poetry showcases his perception of the universe from the perspective of an insider. Chaswal's poems have been published in reputed international poetry journals such as Pacific Review, Sam Smith The Journal, Pamona Valley Review, Forge, Enchanting Verses, Earthborne Poetry Magazine, Kritya- A Journal of Poetry, Indian Ruminations, and Bicycle Review, among others.

One of his poems was recently selected for a human rights poetry anthology by the University of London. The anthology was released in October 2013.
