Deborah LeBlanc is an acclaimed American horror author hailing from Lafayette, Louisiana. Born as the eldest of three children, she spent her early years in Scott, a quaint town situated to the west of Lafayette. It was here that Deborah cultivated a fervent passion for reading and writing.
Throughout her multifaceted career, Deborah has not only made her mark in the literary world but has also ventured into diverse professional roles. She has worked as a sales representative for an oil company, ascended to the position of executive vice-president for a transportation company, and founded two corporations, one in the fuel sector and the other offering management consultation services for funeral service.
Deborah's contributions to the writing community are substantial. She has been an active participant in various writer's groups, receiving numerous accolades from her peers and national writing associations. Notably, she served as the president of the Horror Writers Association from 2006 to 2010.
In addition to her literary achievements, Deborah is a licensed death scene investigator, a licensed private investigator, and has over two decades of experience as a paranormal investigator. She was the house ‘clairsendium’ for the paranormal investigation television show, Through the Veil. Furthermore, Deborah has held leadership roles in several writers' organizations, including an eight-year presidency at the Writers' Guild of Acadiana and a two-year presidency for the Mystery Writers of America's Southwest Chapter.
In 2007, Deborah founded Literacy Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to combating illiteracy among America's teens. Deborah resides in the Cajun south-central Louisiana with her three daughters.
