David Heinemeier Hansson, often recognized by his initials DHH, is a renowned Danish programmer, writer, entrepreneur, and racing driver.
He is the creator of Ruby on Rails, a popular web framework written in Ruby, and serves as a partner and Chief Technology Officer at the web-based software development firm 37signals.
Hansson co-authored Agile Web Development with Rails with Dave Thomas in 2005, as part of The Facets of Ruby Series. He also collaborated with Jason Fried to write Getting Real, Rework, Remote, and It Doesn't Have to Be Crazy at Work.
In addition to his achievements in software development, Hansson is an accomplished semi-professional racing driver and was the champion of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship in the LMGTE Am class.
