David Finkel

David Louis Finkel is an American journalist born on October 28, 1955. He is renowned for his work as a staff writer at The Washington Post, where he won a Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting in 2006 for a series of stories about U.S.-funded democracy efforts in Yemen. As of January 2017, he served as the national enterprise editor at the Post and has also been part of the Post's foreign staff division.

He is the author of notable books such as The Good Soldiers and Thank You for Your Service. In recognition of his significant contributions to journalism, he was named a MacArthur Fellow in 2012.
