Danielle Bennett

Danielle Bennett is a Canadian author, best known for co-authoring the 2008 fantasy novel Havemercy with Jaida Jones. Originally from Victoria, British Columbia, she graduated from Vic High in 2004 and attended Camosun College. Bennett and Jones began their collaboration after meeting in a LiveJournal thread, which led to Havemercy being picked up by Random House and published in 2008.

In addition to Havemercy, they have also worked together on Master of One, a young adult (YA) fantasy novel published by HarperTeen in 2020.

Bennett is humorously described as an "elegant cat burglar and professional nervous barfer about town," and she resides in Brooklyn with her co-author and spouse, Jaida Jones, and their eight cats. She works as an independent editor, proofreader, and plagiarism checker.

Despite personal health challenges, having had cancer and breast surgery, Bennett continues to thrive professionally and personally.
