Daniel H. Wilson is an American author, television host, and robotics engineer, born on March 6, 1978 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is a Cherokee citizen and earned a Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Wilson's work includes the award-winning humor titles How to Survive a Robot Uprising, Where's My Jetpack?, and How to Build a Robot Army, as well as the bestseller Robopocalypse. His books have been New York Times bestselling titles. Wilson is also a contributing editor to Popular Mechanics magazine, where he is known as the "Resident Roboticist". He currently resides in Portland, Oregon.
