D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

David Martyn Lloyd-Jones was a Welsh Congregationalist minister and medical doctor who became a significant figure in the Calvinist wing of the British evangelical movement during the 20th century. He served as the minister of Westminster Chapel in London for nearly thirty years.

Lloyd-Jones was a staunch critic of Liberal Christianity, viewing it as a deviation from true Christian teachings. He was particularly vocal about his opposition to the broad church approach and advocated for evangelical Christians, especially Anglicans, to leave their existing denominations. He believed that genuine Christian fellowship was only possible among those who shared common convictions about the essence of the faith.

He was married to Bethan Lloyd-Jones. His sermons remain influential and are widely available in recorded format, treasured as important resources for the church today.
