Cathy Cassidy is an English author of young adult fiction, born on 13 June 1962 in Coventry, Warwickshire. For a number of years, she resided near New Galloway in Scotland, where she began writing her novels. She has since returned to England and now lives on The Wirral.
Cathy has penned 30 books and a few e-books. She has been the agony aunt for Shout, a magazine for teenage girls. She also currently writes a series of four books about Daizy Star for younger readers and a series of books for older readers called the Chocolate Box Girls.
Cathy pursued her education in Art College in Liverpool and later worked as a fiction editor on the legendary Jackie magazine. Additionally, she has worked as an agony aunt on Shout magazine and as an art teacher in local primary and secondary schools, as well as a freelance illustrator. Now, she is a full-time author, relishing her work, family, and life in the countryside.
