Catherine Jinks

Catherine Jinks is an Australian author known for her wide range of fiction books that cater to all age groups. Born in Brisbane, Queensland in 1963, she spent part of her childhood in Papua New Guinea where her father worked as a patrol officer. Later, she completed her high school education in Sydney, New South Wales.

Jinks has received numerous awards for her literary work, including the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Award four times, the Victorian Premier's Literary Award, the Aurealis Award for Science Fiction, the IBBY Australia Ena Noel Encouragement Award, the Adelaide Festival Award, and the Davitt Award for crime fiction. Her work is internationally acclaimed and has been published in various countries including Australia, New Zealand, Britain, the United States, Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Thailand.
