Cassie Dandridge Selleck

Cassie Dandridge Selleck is an American author, well-known for her acclaimed debut novel, The Pecan Man, published in 2012. Born and raised in Central Florida, she now resides on the banks of the Suwannee River in North Florida. Cassie enjoys a fulfilling personal life with her husband of over twenty-five years and their tiny but fearless chihuahua.

Before embracing the writer's life, Cassie had a diverse professional journey, including a decade at Merrill Lynch, a role as an Outreach Coordinator for a tri-county public library system, and a stint in marketing for Anderson Crane and Bridge. She is a proud graduate of Goddard College with a BFA in Creative Writing.

Her works, including What Matters in Mayhew, are celebrated for their rich storytelling and insightful exploration of Southern life. Cassie's first novel sold over 150,000 copies, was produced as an audiobook by Blackstone, and has been optioned for film rights.

In addition to her writing, Cassie is an enthusiastic participant in book clubs and enjoys connecting with her readers through Skype sessions, library visits, and workshops. As an empty-nester and proud mother of three daughters and grandmother to seven, she finds joy in her vibrant family life.
